Your customers already order on your own WooCommerce website. The hard part is getting the food to them when you do not have enough drivers of your own. FoodMaster now connects directly to DoorDash and Uber Eats delivery: it calculates the delivery cost at WooCommerce checkout and sends each delivery order to DoorDash or Uber Eats automatically. No custom code, no copying orders into another app.
This guide explains how the integration works, how it differs from listing your restaurant on the delivery apps, and how to get it running.
Delivery from DoorDash and Uber Eats, orders on your own site
There are two very different ways to work with DoorDash and Uber Eats:
- The marketplace apps. Your menu sits inside their app next to every competitor, they take a commission of often 15–30% on each order, and the customer belongs to them.
- Delivery only. The customer orders on your website and pays you. DoorDash or Uber Eats only provides the courier, for a delivery fee. Both companies offer this as a service for restaurants with their own ordering, known as DoorDash Drive and Uber Direct.
FoodMaster’s integration is the second kind. Your menu, your prices, your checkout and your customer list stay on your WooCommerce store. You use DoorDash and Uber Eats couriers for the last mile.
What the FoodMaster integration does
1. Calculates the delivery cost at checkout
When a customer chooses delivery and enters their address, FoodMaster gets the delivery cost from DoorDash or Uber Eats and adds it to the WooCommerce checkout automatically. The customer sees the real delivery fee before paying, and you do not have to guess a flat fee that may not cover the courier.
2. Sends the order to DoorDash or Uber Eats
Once the order is placed, FoodMaster sends the delivery to DoorDash or Uber Eats automatically, with the pickup and drop-off details from the WooCommerce order. Your staff do not retype anything into a second system.
3. Everything else stays the same
The order still prints in the kitchen, shows on the kitchen display and appears in WooCommerce like any other order. Pickup, dine-in and QR table orders keep working as before.
How an order flows
- The customer orders on your website and chooses delivery.
- FoodMaster calculates the DoorDash or Uber Eats delivery cost and shows it at checkout.
- The customer pays through your normal WooCommerce payment methods.
- The ticket prints in your kitchen and the order appears on the kitchen display.
- FoodMaster sends the delivery to DoorDash or Uber Eats.
- A courier collects the food and delivers it to your customer.
How to set it up

- Open a delivery account with DoorDash, Uber, or both, for restaurants that take orders on their own website. Availability depends on your city.

- Place a test order to check the delivery cost at checkout and that the delivery reaches DoorDash or Uber Eats.
For step-by-step settings, see the FoodMaster documentation or submit a ticket and we will help you connect it.
What it costs
FoodMaster is one yearly licence with no commission on your orders. DoorDash and Uber Eats charge their own fee for each delivery they carry out, and that is the cost FoodMaster calculates and shows at checkout. Compared with selling through the marketplace apps, you pay for the delivery only, not a percentage of every order.
| Marketplace app | Your site + FoodMaster | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the customer orders | In the delivery app | On your website |
| Commission on the order | Often 15–30% | None |
| Delivery cost | Included in the commission | The courier fee, shown at checkout |
| Customer details | Stay with the app | Stay in your WooCommerce store |
| Menu, prices and brand | Limited by the app | Fully yours |
Tips for running courier delivery smoothly
- Keep prep times realistic. Couriers arrive expecting the food to be ready. Use the kitchen display to see which delivery orders are waiting.
- Pack for the trip. Sealed, labelled bags keep orders together when a courier collects several at once.
- Keep your own delivery as a backup. Where DoorDash or Uber Eats do not cover an address, FoodMaster’s own delivery zones and fees still work with your own drivers.
- Tell regulars you deliver direct. A card in every bag pointing to your website moves customers away from the marketplace apps over time.
