This video walks through every FoodMaster screen in the WordPress admin, one at a time, and explains what each setting does for your restaurant. It is recorded on the Forno Rosso pizzeria demo, so you see every setting next to the result on a real-looking restaurant site. Below is a written summary of each part, with links that jump the video to that moment.
Ordering basics (0:08)
Everything lives under FoodMaster in the admin menu. The settings page has four tabs, Ordering, Design, Printing and Advanced, each with its own sections and a short summary of what is switched on. A search box filters the page when you are looking for one setting.
- General: choose how customers can order (delivery, pickup, dine-in or any mix) and which option is selected by default.
- Accept or Decline Orders: review each order before the kitchen starts, or leave it off so every order is accepted automatically.
- Pause switch: stop delivery, pickup or dine-in instantly, even during opening hours. Useful on a busy night or when a driver calls in sick.
- Delivery: average delivery time shown to customers, delivery fee and minimum order, either one fixed amount or different per postal code. Optional delivery dates and time slots, with a maximum number of orders per slot so the kitchen is never overloaded.
- Pickup: average time until an order is ready, hidden address fields (nobody needs them for collection) and optional pickup dates and time slots.
Dine-in, QR tables and checkout (2:25)
Set the average dine-in time and, if you like, let guests choose a date and time for their visit. With QR table ordering every table gets its own QR code: guests scan it, order from their phone, and the kitchen sees which table the order is for.
In Checkout you can add a doorbell field, which helps drivers find flats and offices, and hide the country field if you only deliver locally. The availability checker is the popup that asks for an address before someone orders, so customers learn straight away whether you deliver to them; the enhanced version adds live address checks, better location detection and clearer messages.
Design styles, colours and printing (3:37)
- Pick a menu style: Takeaway Flyer, Counter Display or Night Service, each with a different feel.
- Choose a ready-made colour scheme (pizzerias, burger joints, sushi bars and more) or your own colours for buttons, prices and text.
- Fine-tune product titles, buttons, fonts, rounded corners and shadows. The FoodMaster theme picks these up across the whole site.
- Shortcodes lists ready shortcodes, such as the menu accordion, for pages built without blocks.
- Printing: the companion app for Windows, Mac, Android or iOS prints new orders in the kitchen as soon as they arrive.
Advanced: tweaks, kitchen display, MCP and export (4:51)
- Tweaks: short descriptions, a fast text-only menu without product images, right-to-left support and how minutes are written.
- Ajax: product details open in a popup without reloading, and one-tap add puts simple items straight into the cart.
- Kitchen display: turns a tablet or screen into a live order board, protected by a PIN, with your own refresh time and the minutes after which cards turn yellow or red.
- MCP: lets AI assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT read and manage your menu and orders. The page checks the requirements and gives you the connection details.
- Export and import: download all FoodMaster settings, products and hours as one file, as a backup or to copy your setup to a new site.
Hours, holidays, extras and tables (6:24)
Hours decide when you take orders. Every day has its own switch and up to three time slots, for example lunch and dinner. Copy Monday to all fills the week in one click, separate tabs hold pickup and dine-in hours, and on a holiday ordering switches off by itself.
Extras are the choices customers make on a product: sizes, crusts, toppings and sides. Each group shows how many options it has and whether customers pick one or several; open it to edit options and prices, make it required, assign it to whole product categories, or export it to another site. Tables lists every table with its seats and zone, and prints all QR codes in one go.
Orders, stores, notifications, reports and the setup wizard (8:11)
- Orders: a live order board you can filter by status and sort by delivery time. It refreshes every few seconds, so new orders simply appear.
- All Stores and Store settings: add each branch and run multi-store mode with its own details per location.
- Notifications: messages and alerts so customers and staff hear about new orders and status changes.
- Reports: sales and orders over time.
- Setup Wizard: the essentials, step by step, when you are just starting.
